Denis Zilber is a freelance illustrator and visual storyteller. He has been working in the industry for over 8 years and has worked for some major companies including, Hasbro Animation, Dreamworks, Nickelodeon, Penguin Publishing and many many more. His work is all amazing and he works in many different media but what caught my eye was his Zbrush models. The character, quality and poses of each one is eye catching and visually stunning. Each once conveys personality through the use of stance, expression and lighting. I also love the way he has used traditional character design rules in his 3D characters, such as expressions are never even on both sides of the face to add interest, the use of straights vs curves, pushing proportions and lines of action. I find his work greatly inspirational and shows that you can create believable, appealing characters to such a high standard using programs such as Zbrush. I definitely need to use my knowledge of 2D character design in my own models as Denis Zilber proves these principles apply for 3D as well.
