Timmy the T-Rex Hallway

Finally managed to get this finished. Decided to take away the rounded walls out and go with straight ones. I think it looks a lot better and easier to read.

WIP Timmy the T-Rex's House

It's been a while since I created any 2D backgrounds so it was nice to get back into doing them. I had a blast creating the initial line drawing and now I'm just working on the colours and lighting to make sure everything right, but heres what I've got so far.

The Cheese Moon of Hillsville Bible

This is the final bible I produced for my Cheese Moon of Hillsville concept. I really wanted to put a large background running behind all the 5 panels on the top side of the leaflet but I didn't have time to finish it so I had to leave it out. I definitely learned how to get something finished in a short space of time, having goals and stretch goals. I feel the characters work a lot better on this because they don't seem as thought they are floating in mid air. I also like the front and back covers and how they show contrast in colour. Overall I was fairly happy, but if I had more time to produce the final work it would have been to a much better standard.

Practicing my Speed Painting

I've been focusing a lot on my characters and drawing lately but I want to try and get back into digital painting. This is the first one I've done in a while and it's not perfect but I'm pretty happy with it considering it only took me half an hour.

Colour Keys

Here are some colour keys for the outside of my manor that I created today. I really enjoyed making these and playing around with hue and saturation levels and different lighting effects in Photoshop.

Rascalé Book

Over the last couple of days I have been really busy working on my book for the children's TV series Rascalé that I have been creating. I have ordered the book today and it should be here just before the end of the month. Heres a few examples of what you can expect to see in the book and what I've been working on the last few days.

Backgrounds

Here are two of my final finished backgrounds, one for the daytime view of my manor and the other for the nighttime. I created the backgrounds in Photoshop adding texture to make them more interesting. To create the nighttime background I added two blue hue and saturation layers, some stars, some extra shadows, a layer of mist, removed the clouds and changed the colour of the sky.

Background Progress

The first background I have been working on today. Still trying to work out colours and adding a little more depth. Hopefully I'll have a finished background in the next couple of days.

New Cinema Background

This is definitely one of my favourite backgrounds and although it was time consuming I really like that way it has turned out.

Finally finished all the elements of my kitchen. I particularly like the fridge, although I am not sure how I will animate it opening.

Hospital Background

I'm not completely happy with this background as the perspective looks a little odd.

I think the houses look especially good at night. I wish I had edited the whole background rather than only that which would be in the shot.

I think the house looks a lot better now it has been photoshopped. I am a lot happier with how it looks and the depth, and shading that has been created.
