Score Loading Screen: Cop Car

Here is one of the many loading screens I created for the game Score. I created it entirely in illustrator which is a lot better to use when creating hard surface objects. It's also one of the first times I have illustrated a car/vehicle. The whole project is completely different to anything I have ever worked on before and that made it a huge challenge but great fun.

Timmy the T-Rex Hallway

Finally managed to get this finished. Decided to take away the rounded walls out and go with straight ones. I think it looks a lot better and easier to read.

WIP Timmy the T-Rex's House

It's been a while since I created any 2D backgrounds so it was nice to get back into doing them. I had a blast creating the initial line drawing and now I'm just working on the colours and lighting to make sure everything right, but heres what I've got so far.

Timmy the T-Rex Poses

He's so cute! I had great fun creating the poses for this little guy. It takes a lot longer colouring each of the poses in Illustrator but it was definitely worth it!

Timmy Expressions

I've been doing a few expressions for Timmy today. Once I got into it I really enjoyed it. Now I've got used to using the width tool in Illustrator it's fairly easy it just takes some time. There will be more coming soon!

Timmy the T-Rex Model

Just a quick update of what I've been working on recently. I've gone back to one of the images I created a while ago and I've been making him into a 3D model. I was attempting to create a turnaround for Timmy but I was finding it hard so I took him into Zbrush and sculpted him up. This was great as it really helped me pinpoint the flaws I had in my initial design and although I really liked it and it worked in a 3/4 view there was something odd about him when I turned him to the front. I still think he isn't quite right and this is a work in progress. One of the things I wasn't sure about where the legs, there really far apart and small making him look as though he is going to fall over, but in a way I quite like that. I looked at T-Rex skeletons for comparison and there legs are also quite far apart, although they are a lot longer. This means they would have had more stability that my character will lack but as he is a toddler I quite like the idea of him waddling around and falling over all the time, as though he is trying to learn to walk. In my initial design I used an S shape through the body. I like the way this flows through the character and gives him soft round curves like a chubby little child. I'm going to continue to add texture and refine the design as at the moment he looks a little rubbery and unfinished. I also think he's lost a little bit of his cute ness and perhaps the jaw is too square making him look older and like a bully. If I soften the chin and make it more round I think this will add more appeal and bring him back to the original design.

Timmy the T-Rex

Timmy is a little T-Rex with a big personality. He has trouble doing a lot of things because of his small arms but he makes up for it with his big heart. I love this little guy and I hope to make some model sheet soon when I have more free time!

My new logo!

This is my new logo. It's based on the idea behind the name Magical Sheep Productions, which is that when we go to sleep and we are counting sheep it is the sheep who leads us into a magical world of imagination across the fence.

Business Card

This is the current business card I have recently designed it incorporates my logo and I'm fairly happy with it. Unfortunately this is only the front as I haven't had time to design the back so hopefully that will be up soon.

NSS Poster Competition

I decided to give the NSS poster competition 2013 a go. I didn't win but as I've not done much graphic design before I didn't think it was too bad. Have a look and see what you think!

Google Doodles

Hey everyone sorry I haven't posted in a few days I've been uber busy getting my Google Doodles done for a uni project I've been working on. Sorry about the bad quality I had to record myself moving the boat around because I still haven't worked out how to get it onto here as an interactive game, but hopefully I'll be able to post the interactive version soon!
