Book and Business Cards

My book and business cards came today. Below is a picture so you can get a good idea of how they look!

Lollypop Lanes

Due to finishing several projects at once along with other issues I have had to deal with in the last week of uni I only managed to get this final concept produced for the Lollypop Lanes ride. I am quite happy with it although in the initial drawing I had included people and unfortunately due to time restrictions I didn't have time to add any to this final concept.

Mr Whippy

Here is my final ride concept for the Mr Whippy water slide. I wanted it to look like the top of Mr Whippy ice cream and be a helper skelter style water slide for children.

I also looked at the type of tube that would be used and how the ride would be constructed.

Sweet Treats

For my final water park concepts I wanted to focus on the children's area of the park, which was going to be made up of mainly sweets, ice cream, and other delicious and appealing foods. Here I tried rendering different foods as I knew in my final concept I wanted the food to appear life like rather than cartoony.

Colour Keys

Here are some colour keys for the outside of my manor that I created today. I really enjoyed making these and playing around with hue and saturation levels and different lighting effects in Photoshop.

Tube Designs

Here are a few variations of tubes that I created to feature in my water park. I really like the doughnut shaped ones and it would be awesome to have a doughnut lazy river with different styles of doughnut tubes in.

Production Still

I have created a final image so you can see what the animation would look like post production.

Personal Project

I've been working on my personal project on and off in the background for the last few weeks. For my personal project I'm looking at ride design and below are a few of my initial designs for a water park where all the rides are shaped like giant food.

Rascalé Book

Over the last couple of days I have been really busy working on my book for the children's TV series Rascalé that I have been creating. I have ordered the book today and it should be here just before the end of the month. Heres a few examples of what you can expect to see in the book and what I've been working on the last few days.

Backgrounds

Here are two of my final finished backgrounds, one for the daytime view of my manor and the other for the nighttime. I created the backgrounds in Photoshop adding texture to make them more interesting. To create the nighttime background I added two blue hue and saturation layers, some stars, some extra shadows, a layer of mist, removed the clouds and changed the colour of the sky.

Bobby Pope

This is the final coloured fish character that I was working on a while ago. I did a few quick colour tests for him and then coloured up the final one in the middle once I had the colours I was happy with.

Bear Expressions

Here are a range of expressions for my bear character that I have been working on today. I wanted the character to have a range of expressions but overall he is pretty grumpy and miserable.

Bear Turnaround and Construction.

I decided to go with this colour for my bear as he matched the other characters yet had his own distinct colour pallet. Here is the final colour turnaround and the construction. Definitely the hardest character to construct and turnaround as he is predominantly a rug!

Bear Colour Tests

I've been trying to decide which colour my bear character would look best in, and which colour would go best with the other characters. Here are a few different colour tests I did quickly in photoshop to try and help me work it out!

Bear Zbrush Turnaround

Definitely the best turnaround I have ever produced. I don't think a bear rug makes for a great turnaround but still I created one. I thought I would also include some other views just so you can see what it looks like from all angles.

Art of Book

I haven't posted anything in a couple of days because this weekend I've been working on my art of book for Rascalé!  Hopefully Il be able to give you a sneak peek in the next couple of days!

Background Progress

The first background I have been working on today. Still trying to work out colours and adding a little more depth. Hopefully I'll have a finished background in the next couple of days.

Rascalé Turnaround

Here is the turnaround for my main character Rascalé in the children's TV series I'm currently creating as part of my university project.

Rascalé Zbrush

I've just finished creating Rascalé in Zbrush. I'm quite pleased with him he is the second character I have completed in Zbrush but unfortunately I don't know enough about Zbrush to put him in a better position now I have finished modelling him. Definitely the next thing I need to learn.

I'm finally making some progress with my main character Rascalé and heres a quick look at some of my latest drawings so you can see how he is developing.

Mouse Development

Heres some quick sketches I did for my mouse character. I like the idea of here being part of a music box and some of the fluid poses you can get from her body as she is  a ballerina. Here I have just experimented with different boxes and facial shapes to get the character I want. Also excuse the bad scanning...

Prop Development.

Heres a few quick sketches of props I did to give me an idea of different designs I could use. Recently I am trying out quicker techniques to try and increase my productivity, so if some of the designs look a little messy please bear in mind that they were done in a couple of minutes. Enjoy!

Moose Turn Around

This is my final Moose turnaround. I'm finally getting round to finishing my Rascalé project and now with only this and my personal project to finish in the next few weeks I can do so. This is the first character that I have almost finished. Stay on the lookout for more new work over the next few days!
